Liz and René, a wonderful husband and wife team, like to welcome their guests as they would their friends and family. Enjoy the warmth of an Irish welcome and the seductive charm of the French.

René	Born in Sète, the little Venice of the Midi, René knows the canal and surrounding area like the back of his hand. He has a good pedigree for Barge Cruising as his grandfather rounded the Horn in sailing ships in the 1900s, and his uncle was a violinist on the "Normandy" and the "France" in the heyday of transatlantic ocean liners. René is a qualified engineer with a passion for mechanics, ensuring everything runs smoothly on board.
Liz	Liz is a Hotel School graduate and has spent many years in the hospitality business. Living in France for over ten years now, Liz hails from Ireland. She is a superb chef and it is her ambition to serve the very best of French Regional Cuisine during your stay on board. Together they provide their guests an insight into local traditions and an opportunity to discover some of the lesser known treasures of Languedoc.
Plus Your Hostess & Your Guide There are two other members of the crew to ensure you have a comfortable, relaxing and interesting vacation: (Liz - René - Anita - Chris) A competent hostess to look after all your needs on board. The driver of the minibus who is also your guide. He will help you discover forgotten corners of our fabulous region. In 2010, Chris (French) and his wife Anita (Australian) will be aboard EMMA for their 4th season!
