French Hotel Barge SAVOIR FAIRE
France, Belgium, and Holland Barging Cruises
The 12-passenger Savoir Faire (formerly "Etoile de Champagne") was built in 1932 as a Belgian transport barge. Converted into a hotel barge in 1979 she was substantially refurbished for the beginning of the 2005 season. Owner-operated by the captain Chris Bennet since late 2004, Savoir Faire is kept well maintained and upgraded throughout the seasons. Chris is an excellent and knowledgeable host and looks forward to customizing your cruise week to your desires.
Savoir Faire's six staterooms offer luxurious accommodation for 12 passengers who are attentively catered for by 6 English-speaking crew. The salon, dining area, and bar are finished in mahogany, teak and brass, decorated with antiques and paintings. Two spacious decks offer magnificent views of the countryside.

Savoir Faire offers a number of fabulous cruises throughout the year 2012 -- including a Holland Tulip cruise, two Two-Country cruises through Holland & Belgium (Haarlem-Bruges), and another for Belgium & France (Bruges-Paris), a Paris to Burgundy cruise (Paris-St Florentin), a Champagne Cruise (Paris-Epernay), as well as two weeks in autumn between Paris and Villeneuve. HOLLAND to BELGIUM to FRANCE
For 2012 we have split this cruise into 2 stages. The first stage being from Haarlem to the delightful Bruges (what an amazing end to this spectacular cruise). The second stage is from Bruges to Paris BUT for 2012 we have allocated 11 nights/12 days for this "once in a lifetime" voyage. More relaxed, more time to experience the true nature and magnificence of this journey.
FRANCE
Well, have we got some real goodies in store for our guests in 2012. Several of our offerings encompass our unique Paris cruise. We shall be cruising the BURGUNDY CANAL (we are successfully cruising this route as I speak and the guest feedback has been fantastic) with our "Best of Burgundy, St Florentin to Ancy-le-Franc" itinerary. We have also allocated 4 weeks in 2012 to our highly regarded CHAMPAGNE CRUISE during a time when this area kicks into its full glory. I just love this route for its charm and awesome landscapes.
