Sunday, Day 1 : Strasbourg
You are met by a representative of Panache at the designated meeting point in Strasbourg and transfer to the barge moored in Strasbourg where there is a Champagne welcome and you are introduced to your crew and barge. Time for a walk or cycle ride before dinner on board.

Monday, Day 2 : Strasbourg to Hochfelden
This morning after breakfast enjoy a tour of the beautiful city of Strasbourg, visiting the Beaux Arts Museum and the 11th century Gothic cathedral, leaving enough time to explore the fine shops. After lunch we cruise the Brumath Forest to the little port of Hochfelden, home to the Meteor Brewery, the last independent brewery in Alsace. Dinner on board.

Tuesday, Day 3 : Hochfelden to Saverne
We cruise to Saverne and then depart to the Routes des Grands Crus for a wine tasting of Pinot Noir and Riesling in the vineyards of the Vosges mountains. After lunch we visit the 13th Century Holchfelden Saint Wendelin Chapel. Dinner on board.

Wednesday, Day 4 : Saverne to Lutzelbourg
After breakfast a morning tour of Saverne and its 16th century monastery. Return to the barge and cruise through the Valley of the Zorn to the charming village of Lutzelbourg. Time for a pleasant walk into the village to see the 12th century chateau that dominates the village and also the stunning view over the valley. Dinner ashore tonight.

Thursday, Day 5 : Lutzelbourg to Niderville
This morning we navigate two tunnels carved into the mountaintop, where we will encounter the Incline d’Arzviller boat lift. This unique lock allows a barge to glide effortlessly up or down the mountainside using a sophisticated system of weights and balances. We visit the mountain top village of La Petite-Pierre. We return to the barge and after lunch we visit Peace Chapel with Chagall’s stained glass window and the Hartzviller Crystal works. Dinner on board.

Friday, Day 6 : Niderviller to Mittersheim
This morning we cruise to Mittersheim through the game-filled Parc de Lorraine and Forest Fenetrange. After lunch take a walking tour of the city of Nancy beginning at the 18th century Place Stanislas Baroque palace with ornate gold and wrought iron gates, the square is considered one of the grandest in all of France. The Art Nouveau movement originated in Nancy so we visit Musee de l’Ecole de Nancy to see its fine collection. Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board.

Saturday, Day 7 : Mittersheim to Strasbourg
After breakfast on board transfer back to Strasbourg.
